Who Pays My Medical Bills After a FedEx Crash in South Charleston, WV?

Two Hurt in FedEx Van Crash on I-64Your health insurance, optional medical payments coverage, or the responsible party’s liability insurer may pay your medical bills after a FedEx accident in South Charleston. Which source applies depends on the available policies and who is legally responsible.

After you receive treatment, the hospital may bill you or submit the charges to your health insurer. Ask for a bill that lists each charge and compare it with your insurance statement to find unpaid balances, duplicate charges, or denied expenses.

When health insurance pays for your care, the company may seek repayment from money you later receive. A medical provider may also claim payment from that money when allowed by law, which can reduce the amount you keep.

If another driver caused the collision, that driver’s liability insurer may cover reasonable treatment costs connected to your injuries. However, the insurer may examine responsibility and whether the care relates to your injuries before agreeing to make a payment.

Depending on your losses, you may also recover compensation for lost income, reduced earning ability, pain and suffering, and other accident-related costs.

Because a FedEx van was involved, questions may arise about who owned the vehicle and employed the driver. Delivery assignments, insurance policies, employment records, and ownership documents can help identify which person or business may be responsible.
