Truck Driving Wrong Way Crashes in Sullivan, MO Takes One Life
A fatal big rig collision resulted in loss of life on eastbound Interstate 44 in Sullivan, Missouri. The incident, which occurred prior to 6:30 a.m. on March 27, 2024, involved a crash between a semi-truck and a passenger car near Exit 185, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
The semi-truck driver, identified as Manpreet Singh, 28, was traveling westbound on I-44 near Sullivan when his truck veered into the eastbound lanes, colliding head-on with another car, erupting into flames.
The collision claimed the life of one individual, identified as Edith McKee, 59, of Sullivan, who was driving in the eastbound lane at the time of the incident.
The exact cause of the tragic event remains under investigation, with authorities yet to determine what prompted the semi-truck to cross over the median into oncoming traffic.
