Tractor-Trailer Fatally Kills Man in Pennsylvania Crash

December 12, 2023 Firm News

A fatal incident occurred on the morning of Friday, December 8, 2023, on Interstate 476,  Pennsylvania Turnpike, according to local officials.

Around 7 a.m. on December 8 in Salford Township, Pennsylvania, a utility service truck had pulled over to the right shoulder to address an issue with its load. Sean Terwilliger, a 40-year-old man from Allentown, Pennsylvania,  inspected the load in the back of the utility truck.

Apparently distracted, the driver of a southbound semi-trailer truck failed to notice the stationary vehicle. The semi-truck veered to the right, colliding with Terwilliger and causing severe, terrible injuries that led to his untimely death. The crash prompted the closure of part of the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Quakertown exits in Montgomery County.

This devastating incident underscores the danger posed by unsafe driving and supervision of semi-trucks on the road.
