Tractor-Trailer Collision Claims Lives of Two Texas Women
Two Texas women tragically lost their lives in a collision involving a large truck this week, a mile south of Denver City.
As reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety, a tractor-trailer operated by a 40-year-old man from Carlos, N.M. was headed northbound on State Highway 214. Unfortunately, during a left turn onto FM2056, the truck failed to observe the right of way, resulting in a collision with a Hyundai Sonata, according to available information.
Tragically, the driver of the Hyundai, Elisabeth Hildebrand, aged 55, succumbed to her injuries at the accident site. Her companion, Katharina Faroese, aged 60, was transported to Yoakum County Medical Center; however, she also tragically passed away, according to available information. It is worth noting that both individuals were properly restrained with seat belts at the time of the incident.
