Semi-Truck Injures Indiana Police Troopers in Crash
Two Indiana State Police troopers sustained injuries on March 5, 2024 when a semi-truck struck their patrol car during a crash investigation on Interstate 65 southbound near 38th Street in Indianapolis.
The incident occurred around 12:39 p.m. and involved several vehicles. According to official reports, the troopers were investigating a previous crash at the same location when the semi-truck collided with their vehicle.
Both troopers were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The Indiana Department of Transportation reported that the left two lanes of southbound I-65 near exit 117 were blocked for approximately 30 minutes following the accident.
Those who were injured in this commercial truck crash may have a case against the truck driver and the trucking company. When a semi-truck hits the officials seeking to keep the roads safe, it demonstrates the risks linked to accidents involving commercial trucks. When commercial trucks drive unsafely, lives are put at risk. Such accidents can lead to subsequent collisions involving other vehicles, whose drivers might be distracted, as well as bystanders and individuals moving to the side, all of whom may suffer injuries.
