Semi-Truck Crash Takes Life of Texas Woman

A fatal semi-truck crash on I-35 northbound near mile marker 345 in the early hours of Sunday morning left one person dead, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Troopers responded to the scene at midnight and found a semi-truck had changed lanes and collided with another vehicle, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into another semi-truck, according to available information.

The driver of the vehicle, 46-year-old Christena Monroe of Arlington, was taken to the hospital in Waco, where she died from her injuries, according to available information. Next of kin were notified.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, but DPS says that the semi-truck driver was not injured.
