Concerns Regarding FedEx Trucks and Pedestrians

Distraction: Like all drivers, FedEx truck drivers may be prone to distractions such as using mobile phones or adjusting in-cab technology, diverting their attention from the road and pedestrians.

Inadequate Safety and Lack of Training: FedEx has no safety program for its ISP drivers and insufficient training for FedEx drivers on pedestrian awareness.  Disregard of safe driving practices can contribute to accidents involving pedestrians.

As communities navigate these intersections where pedestrian traffic mixes with commercial activity, it’s vital to address the multifaceted risks posed by FedEx trucks to ensure pedestrian safety.
