One Person Dead After Fatal Big Rig Accident in Texas
The Chambers County, Texas Sheriff’s Office has reported a fatal accident on IH-10 that occurred on September 9, 2023. Deputies and Texas DPS troopers responded to the incident at the 806-mile marker eastbound on Interstate 10, according to available information.
According to available information, a construction-style front-end loader was traveling eastbound on the Interstate 10 Trinity River Bridge, followed by another vehicle with its hazard lights on. As the front-end loader descended the bridge at a slow speed, a semi truck traveling in the same direction collided with the rear of the passenger vehicle and the front-end loader, according to available information.
Texas DPS has confirmed that this collision resulted in a fatality, with the death of the driver of the passenger vehicle, which was following the front-end loader. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident, according to available information.
