Oklahoma High School Girl Injured by Truck Driver
An Oklahoma school community is experiencing grief following a distressing incident involving a student who was hit by a semi-truck while crossing the street at a crosswalk.
The Superintendent of Newkirk shared that this unfortunate event transpired during lunchtime when a student from Newkirk High School was involved in the accident, according to available information. The young girl, aged 16, is presently in a critical condition, having sustained multiple hip fractures, head trauma, and injuries to all her extremities.
Immediate action was taken, as she was swiftly transported to the hospital through Air Evac from the high school’s football field, according to available information. The school has arranged for counselors to be present, offering assistance and additional support to fellow students who might be in need.
