Iowa Tow Truck Driver Killed by Allegedly Impaired Semi Driver
A semi-truck driver was killed in a deadly crash on November 12th on Interstate 80/35 in Iowa. Iowa truck driver Joshua Villa, 45, was killed after authorities say another truck struck his truck.
Dmytro Prysich, 54, was booked into the Polk County Jail hours after he allegedly struck and killed Villa. According to officials, Prysich did not slow down as his tractor-trailer approached the scene of an accident. Villa, of Adel, died after being hit. Prysich didn’t pull over after striking Villa, according to a criminal complaint, but was eventually stopped by officers in Clive, Iowa. The Iowa Department of Transportation has documented 323 deaths on Iowa roads in 2023 to date.
In situations like this one, the family of the driver who was killed may have a case of wrongful death against the other driver or trucking company.
