Indiana Semi Truck Crash Leaves a Woman Dead, Injures Others
In early September, a collision occurred between a semi truck and a van east of New Haven, Indiana, resulting in one death and three hospitalizations, according to available information. The semi truck may have failed to stop at a stop sign, according to reports from officials. The passenger, identified as 86-year-old Donna Danahey of New Haven, passed away.
The accident took place near the intersection of Ryan Road and Dawkins Road. Preliminary findings suggest that the semi, traveling southbound on Ryan, may have failed to stop while the van was heading eastbound on Dawkins, according to available information.
The van’s occupants, including the driver initially reported in critical condition, were transported to the hospital, according to available information; their conditions improved, and they were recently listed in fair condition. The semi truck driver was taken to the hospital, also in fair condition.
Following the investigation, the Allen County Coroner determined Danahey’s cause of death was due to multiple blunt force injuries from the accident.
