FedEx Van Involved in Head-On Indiana Collision with Injuries

Wednesday, January 17 a FedEx truck was involved in a head-on collision on SR18, Grant County, Indiana, resulting in severe injuries.  The crash involved the FedEx truck  along with other vehicles, according to available information..

In response to the collision, emergency response was required of various services, including the dispatch of a helicopter from Lutheran Air. The collision left one individual in critical condition, displaying gasps and difficult breathing. Immediate CPR and a prompt medical airlift were deemed necessary, with the helicopter landing within 15 minutes of the call. Another driver involved in the accident went to the hospital, officials said.

The Indiana State Police have initiated crash reconstruction efforts. Beyond the immediate response and medical interventions.

According to the US Department of Transportation public records, FedEx trucks have been involved in 94 fatalities in the past 24 months.  FedEx reports many more collisions throughout the United States.  Many of these tragedies leave lives and families permanently changed.
