The impact sent the truck into a concrete pillar of the Georgia Highway 338 overpass near Exit 42. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the driver failed to maintain the truck’s lane around 9:00 a.m. After the impact, the trailer detached from the truck and blocked all westbound lanes of Interstate 16.
