April 5, 2024 Firm News

An incident occurred on Interstate 65 in Cullman County, resulting in the loss of one life, as reported by the coroner’s office.

The crash, which occurred just before 5 a.m. on March 12, 2024 near the 306-mile marker, involved multiple vehicles. The collision was caused by a van striking an overturned FedEx truck.

The van’s driver, Methuselah Kadigi, a 53-year-old resident of Pelham, was fatally injured in the collision. According to Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick.

This event underscores the dangers associated with FedEx trucks on the roads, highlighting the need for heightened awareness and caution among all drivers. Whether the accidents can be attributed to recklessness, distractions, or driver fatigue, accidents involving commercial trucks not only jeopardize the lives of those directly involved but also have the potential to trigger secondary accidents involving other vehicles as this fatal accident illustrates.
