FedEx Box Truck Crashes into an SUV in Nebraska
A 33-year-old Lincoln, Nebraska man, driving a FedEx box truck, disregarded a stop sign recently and collided with an SUV, leading both vehicles to come to a stop in a ditch in Nebraska’s rural Cass County on December 4th, according to official sheriff reports.
The accident happened near the intersection of Highway 75 and Murray Road just south of Plattsmouth. It was a two-vehicle crash that occurred in late November. The driver of the SUV was injured and taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. The FedEx driver was cited for a stop sign violation and for driving without a seat belt.
FedEx box trucks are larger than normal autos, requiring extra caution, training, and supervision to protect the motoring public from serious injuries. Imsafe supervision and driving of commercial motor vehicles can be dangerous on rural and city streets, risking the lives and property of the public.
