Fayetteville, NC (January 19, 2026) – Emergency units responded on Saturday, January 17, to a reported pedestrian accident involving a FedEx double-trailer tractor-trailer near the Royal Inn off Gillespie Street near Oak Street. 

First responders, including an ambulance, patrol vehicles, and state highway officers, arrived quickly and secured the area while managing traffic. The FedEx truck remained at the scene as investigators focused on the front of the vehicle and the surrounding roadway. 

The Fayetteville Police Department has not confirmed the condition of the pedestrian. The investigation is ongoing.
