Fatal UPS Truck Collision Takes Life of Tufts Professor in Boston
A well-known professor at Tufts University School of Medicine was killed in a crash with a UPS truck in Newton in late August. According to available information, Professor Alex Bohm was riding his bicycle when the truck collision occurred.
Bohm, 57, of Newton, MA died after he was rushed to Brigham and Women’s Hospital with serious injuries suffered in the crash, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said.
Andrew Bohm, PhD, associate professor of developmental, molecular, and chemical biology, postdoctoral scholars officer, was a friend and mentor to many throughout the Tufts family.
Bohm was an associate professor of developmental, molecular, and chemical biology at Tufts University School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the university said in a statement posted to its website.
