Fatal Semi-Truck Crash in Missouri Kills One, Injures Others
A multi-vehicle big rig crash on westbound Interstate 70 near Grain Valley, Missouri, has claimed the life of one person and injured two others. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reports that the crash happened just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, just before Adam’s Dairy Parkway. The crash involved several vehicles, including two tractor-trailers.
According to MSHP, the driver of a semi and the driver of a Ford Excursion slowed for traffic when the driver of another semi struck the rear of the Ford Excursion, pushing it into a guardrail. That semi then struck the rear of the other semi, according to available information.
A passenger in the Ford Excursion, 28-year-old Robert Cox of Lenexa, Kansas, was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries. The driver of the Ford Excursion was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A 72-year-old Montana man was also injured, according to authorities.
