In a tragic incident on December 29, 2023, a head-on collision between a van and a semi in Milwaukee, WI resulted in two hospitalizations, including that of a 3-year-old child, Ralph Stewart. The collision occurred around 3:25 a.m. near 22nd and Villard.

The van, driven by a 32-year-old, collided with the semi, causing life-threatening injuries to both the driver and the boy. Emergency responders transported them to the hospital, but unfortunately, 3-year-old Ralph Stewart succumbed to his injuries on December 31.

Ralph Stewart was an innocent victim of unsafe driving.  Responsibility for the collision, and the child’s death, can involve more than 1 party.  Keeping a proper lookout, speeding, taking safe action to avoid collision, unsafe driving, and distracted driving could all be factors that led to the child’s death.  The victims should take immediate action to get competent experience legal representation to help them preserve the evidence, and bring legal action if appropriate
