A SUV found itself sandwiched between two semi-trucks on eastbound Interstate 80/94 in Lake County, Indiana on April 4, 2024, resulting in the loss of one life and severe injuries to two others.

The incident occurred on the Columbia Avenue overpass between Calumet Avenue and Indianapolis Boulevard. A semi truck began to slow down, the Kia SUV behind it started to slow down.
