Fatal Illinois Truck Crash Claims One Life
In a fatal incident on northbound I-55 near Lorenzo Road in Will County, Illinois, one person lost their life in a multi-car crash involving a semi-truck. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on January 20, 2024 according Illinois State Police.
Preliminary information indicates that traffic slowed down, leading to a collision between a tractor-trailer with other vehicles on the road. One person was confirmed dead, their age and identity was not disclosed.
This early morning drive time crash involved the operation of a semi truck which was required to comply with traffic laws, as well as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act, to protect the motoring public.
